Superman
He was born Kal-El on the planet Krypton. His parents Jor-El and Lara sent him on a rocket to the planet Earth, where he would be one of the last survivors of his race. Jonathan and Martha Kent, who raised him as his son Clark, discovered his rocket. In his parallel identity he works as a journalist at the Daily Planet in the city of Metropolis. His superhuman abilities include incredible strength, super speed, endurance, longevity, freezing breath, flight, and heat vision. In the majority of their representations, their greatest enemy is the brilliant Lex Luthor. In order to preserve the memory of his home planet and provide rest of his double life, he has as Headquarters, the Fortress of Solitude in the North Pole. He is shown as one of the members of the Justice League and the Legion of Superheroes. After the events of convergence, there are currently 2 Superman in the same universe. Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster created superman in 1938, appearing first in Action Comics.

It was founded in 1934 as National Allied Publications acquiring the name of DC Comics in 1937. The initial «DC» is an abbreviation of Detective Comics, one of the first emblematic titles of the company. It has recently been acquired as a wholly owned subsidiary of AOL-Time Warner.
